Hyperacusis showcase event - July 2026
To celebrate the launch of ishush and our hyperacusis research, we are held a hyperacusis showcase event at the University of Nottingham, Orchard Hotel, University Park Campus on Friday 17th July, 2026.
The event provided an important opportunity to reflect on the work we have undertaken on hyperacusis and to officially share the ishush website. The event included:
-
A morning research session, with presentations on our key research in hyperacusis (see below for presentation slides).
-
An afternoon session to officially launch ishush, with presentations from our patient and public representatives, clinicians and researchers who worked on the project (below is the recording of this session).
-
A mindfulness quiet walk through our gardens at lunch time.
People with lived experience of hyperacusis, clinicians, charity organisations and our team’s key academic and clinical collaborators all joined us on the day either in person or online.
